Entrance exams
  • Medicine, dentistry, pharmacy — written test (biology, chemistry).
  • Law, psychology, several programmes at the Faculty of Arts — entrance test or ranking by school grades (depends on the year).
  • Many programmes in natural sciences, mathematics and informatics, education — no exams, admission based on the certificate.
Documents
  • online application (e-prihláška) and payment of the application fee;
  • nostrified school certificate — the recognition decision (or proof of filing) by the faculty deadline;
  • official translation of the certificate into Slovak;
  • for Slovak-taught programmes — proof of language level as required by the faculty (usually B1–B2).

International students apply on the same terms as Slovaks. We match the faculty to the student's certificate and goals, prepare the documents and track the deadlines — see turnkey admission.

Dormitory and costs

The university runs the largest dormitories in the country — Mlyny (Átriové domky, Manželské internáty) and Družba. A dormitory place for a first-year student is roughly 90–180 € per month depending on the building and room type (2026, check the dormitory website). The application for a place is filed after admission, usually in summer.
